Segregation of Clothes
Doing the laundry is a step by step process. The first step is to sort all of your cloths. Separate your whites from your colored from the Denim and Jeans to your unmentionables.
Check For Stains
Check if there are any stains on the clothes. You need to remove these clothes from the others and place them in a basin. For stains cause by oil, grease or ink stains place them in a basin and add a little water. Add bleach to directly on the area with the stain and let it soak for 1hr. Remember bleach is a tough chemical that can remove stains but can also remove the color of your clothes. If the clothes that have a stain are colored clothes then use a specially formulated type of bleach that is for colored clothing. This type of bleach will still remove the stains but will not remove the color of your clothes.
Check the Pockets
Check the pockets of your pants, jeans, short, or polo shirt to make sure that nothing has been left inside. Objects like coins, bills, watches, wallets and phones may actually still be inside. This object may cause damage to your washer or these items might even be damaged by the water.
Soak Denim Overnight in Water
Denims and jeans are the types of clothes that are worn more than once. Place them inside a basin and fill it with water. Let them soak overnight. This will allow the dirt in your denim and jean to soften and makes it a lot easier to actually wash them.
Golden Rules of Washing Clothes
Place 2 to 3 scoop full of detergent powder or liquid detergent into the washer. Always remember the golden rule of washing clothes. Wash whites with whites and colored clothes with colored clothes. This will actually help your clothes retain their color longer. Set the washer depending on the material of your clothes. Set it to "gentle" for delicate material like silk and "hard" for hard materials like denim and jeans. Let it spin for five minutes.
Rinsing of Clothes
Rinse your clothes. 2-3 times is the advisable number, but it depend on if your clothes have already rinsed out all of soap?
Rules for Spin Drying Clothes
Place your clean clothes into the dryer. Make sure you properly place them inside and place the cover. Let it spin for five minutes. Just a little tip, it is not advisable to place your brassieres inside the spin dryer. It will ruin the brassieres shape and will leave it deformed. Just hang them out to dry once you get them rinsed.
Tips on How to Dry Your Clothes Outside
After giving your clothes a good spin bring them outside to dry. When it comes to hanging shirts, first hold the part between the shoulders and the neck and give it a good shake. This will actually help your clothes to dry neater so it would be a lot easier to iron. Then clip it on the clothes line. Do this to all your other clothes and you're done.
Well, there you have the steps in doing the laundry.
