Nishant Tripathi - Co-Founder of DhobiLite
Nishant Tripathi is the co-founder of DhobiLite and a graduate of IIT-BHU (Indian Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University). A software engineer turned entrepreneur, Nishant identified an untapped opportunity in India's unorganised laundry sector and founded DhobiLite in 2011 with a mission to bring professional, tech-enabled laundry and dry cleaning to every Indian doorstep.
Under Nishant Tripathi's leadership, DhobiLite pioneered barcode-based garment tracking, app-based order management, and standardised laundry SOPs at a time when the industry was entirely unorganised. He also introduced the "laundry by kilo" pricing model in India in 2012, making professional laundry affordable for everyday households.
Today, Nishant leads a growing network of 79+ cities and 175+ franchise outlets across India, with DhobiLite trusted by over 7 lakh families. His work has been covered by Forbes, Economic Times, Hindustan Times, CNBC TV18, and Entrepreneur Magazine.
